Macadamia Cinnamon Crumble

I have  taken to having lots of fruit for breakfast lately as I simply can't pass up all the glorious offerings that adorn the market stalls at my local market. Figs, dragonfruit and stone fruit are in abundance yet I know their time is limited as summer draws to a close.   As a breakfast food I find fruit generally doesn't sustain me so I have taken to adding some fat in the way of macadamia nuts for an extra boost which is  perfect as they are grown in my local region.  I really don't have any excuse to not use them do I?   I have paired them with cinnamon here for a sweet touch which is delightful as I am sure you will think so as well.  I think this crumble could be quite versatile in the way of desserts so keep it in mind as just another option.

Macadamia & Cinnamon Crumble
Serves 4

1/3 cup macadamia nuts, shelled
1/4 - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon ( I like cinnamon a lot)
1 tsp maple syrup (to your liking)

Place all the ingredients in a hand blender and whiz a couple of times to chop up the nuts
Give the mix a good stir to combine cinnamon and syrup evenly and serve over fruit of your choice.
